summer-nick:week 2

So, I may not have posted this in a timely manner, but it is getting posted before the week 3 episode. As I said last week, I’m determined to recap this entire season, so better late than never.

nick-viall-slap

My Takeaways

1. The first date of the episode is a group date, where everyone is given a “style” of wedding and the girls will take wedding photos with Nick. An example of the wedding themes are beach wedding (Corinne), fairytale wedding (Taylor), 80’s wedding (Vanessa and her equally voluminous bridesmaids), and shotgun wedding (master of dress-up, Alexis, who follows up on last weeks dolphin costume with a baby bump). For a jealousy inducing date like taking wedding photos, the girls are friendly towards each other and oddly (outwardly) happy when another woman kisses Nick. That is, all the girls except Corinne.

corinne-scowl-and-drink-wine

Corinne is the real star of this date, and if you play any type of Bachelor fantasy, has real Chad upside when it comes to scoring points. While all the girls are talking and laughing together, Corinne is sitting on the corner or the couch, drinking wine, and scowling. She is mad about other girls kissing Nick, talking about Nick, and also that she has to wear a bikini top when Brittany gets to be topless. Don’t think that stopped her. When it was Corinne’s time to have her “beach wedding” with Nick, she decided it would be a topless beach wedding. She even asks Nick to hold her boobs. There’s nothing like going to second base on a first date…..on national television…..in front of 10 other women.

Unsurprisingly, the photographer decides (the producers decide) that Corinne and Nick had the best connection, and she would get to spend additional one-on-one time with him. Luckily for us viewers, there is still an evening portion of the date with the other women, so we continue to get to know them and not just Corinne. At night, Corinne steals Nick first. She isn’t a favorite among the women, so the side-eye taking place is real. In Corinne’s defense, someone had to be the first one to talk to him.  What someone doesn’t have to do is steal Nick again. And again. In all my years watching the Bachelor, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the double steal before. On her third steal, Nick is in the middle of a conversation with Taylor. After talking to the women about Corinne’s behavior, Taylor decided that she is going to interrupt Corinne to continue her conversation. Corinne takes this very personally, saying “she re-interrupted me, which I think is very rude.” Watching this, you almost can’t believe that she is serious. Then again, she keeps referring to herself in the third person, so maybe I can believe it.

Before Nick gives out the date rose, Corinne gives a monologue about how she “can’t stress this enough” that this experience is going to be awkward and you have to put yourself first and go after what you want.  Personally, I thought watching her slur through her “advice” to the other women was awkward, since all of them handled themselves with more grace that Corinne. But to each their own I guess. It seems to Nick’s own too, as he gives the group date rose to Corinne.

corinne-she-reinterrupted-me

2. Danielle got the first one on one date of the season, and it was generally uneventful. Danielle seems so normal for this show. She’s extremely soft-spoken, smart and sweet – Lacey even says that she is happy Danielle got the one on one date because she didn’t even know girls could be as nice as she is.

On the date, Danielle and Nick take a helicopter to a yacht and spend the day on the water. They talk about their upbringings in Wisconsin, and their date seems so normal. I think Danielle reminds Nick of his friends and family back home, and I imagine that familiarity is a comfort in a crazy situation like the Bachelor.

At dinner, Danielle shares with Nick about her tragic past relationship. She was engaged about 5 years ago, and unfortunately her fiancé died of a drug overdose. Nick is incredibly understanding, as I would hope he would be, and made Danielle feel ok about telling him this. She mentions that many of her former relationships ended shortly after she shared this information, but I don’t think that is going to happen here. I think Danielle is going to be around for a long time.

3. For the second group date, Nick took the women to the museum of broken relationships. Everywhere they turned were items that people left behind once their relationships were over, and Nick even contributed the engagement ring that he had picked to give Kaitlyn. The big activity for this date was for the women to “break up” with Nick, in a bit of role play.

Most of the women had fun with the activity, turning Nick into an alcoholic, cheater, or someone who doesn’t floss. Liz, however, took the activity very seriously, because she feels like Nick has been avoiding her. During Liz’s “break-up”, no one but Christen knows that what Liz is saying to Nick is the truth, instead of a fictional dramatic role play. Earlier in the week, Liz shared with Christen that her and Nick have a history, spilling all the details of them hooking up at Jade and Tanner’s wedding. I’m sure having something that you feel you need to get off your chest but are unable to is stressful while on the Bachelor, and I think Liz did a good job picking out a person with whom she could trust this information. Some women might use this against Liz, or use it to “blow up Nick’s spot” but Christen keeps it to herself.

christen-jaw-dropped
Christen’s jaw was definitely dropped.

During the evening portion of the date, Christen admits to Nick that she knows about him and Liz.  Fearful that Liz has told more than one woman, Nick finally decides to address the Liz situation. They have a discussion, which ultimately comes back around to the fact that if Liz wanted to get to know Nick better, she could have just asked Jade for his number. Nick asks Liz to leave, citing that he has relationships with other women building that he doesn’t want to jeopardize. I don’t think that Liz’s intentions coming on the show were un-pure, but I also don’t think Nick trusted them.

After showing Liz out, Nick decides that he needs to come clean to the women. He sits down with the remaining women and tells them that Liz has left. He tells them that he had met her at Jade and Tanner’s wedding. Then, as the episode is ending he says, “Liz and I had sex that night.” Cue dramatic music and TO BE CONTINUED. You’re killing me Bachelor producers.

Best Dressed

Unfortunately, the fashion just wasn’t there for me tonight. With the lack of a rose ceremony and so much focus on Corinne and Liz, I wasn’t able to get a good sense of what the other women were wearing. Plus, there were just SO MANY CROP TOPS. I did love what Danielle wore for the dinner portion of her one on one.

Danielle One on One Jumpsuit.jpgI thought it was a successfully bold choice to wear a jump suit on the one on one date.  As you probably know, I’m a sucker for an open back, and the leather-y material that you can get a sense for in the close up shot makes this jumpsuit look extra luxurious. Danielle’s jumpsuit is Cavanagh Baker, and is unfortunately no longer available as it was part of their Spring/Summer 2016 collection. I found some similar black jumpsuits here, here (I’m obsessed with this one and pray that one day God will allow me to look good in a jumpsuit) and here.

Again, sorry for such the late post! I’d love to hear your thoughts on Episode 2 and predictions for Episode 3. You can always find me @third_and_girl or in the comments!

red dress-nick:week 1

We’re back Bachelor Nation! It’s a new year and we’ve got a new Bachelor! My New Years Resolution is to actually recap an entire season of The Bachelor, so let’s get started!

My Takeaways

The first week doesn’t have much of a story, so we can kick off this season with the three girls who stood out the most to me.

nickviall_chrissoulesChris Soules starting the night off with that Iowa humor we’ve come to know and love.

1. Liz is probably the girl with the most press before the season began. She met Nick at Jade and Tanner’s wedding, where she served as the maid-of-honor and he was a guest. However, Liz likes to keep her private life private. When a producer asks her if they spent the night together she “pleads the fifth”. That is, until a few minutes later when an ITM voiceover confirms that they have had sex. It’s a mystery no more!

Upon meeting, Nick looks at Liz a bit confusedly, and Liz takes this to mean he doesn’t remember her.  Say what you will about Nick as the Bachelor, but I would hope that he would at least recognize a girl with whom he has a mutual friend and has had sex with.  C’mon Liz, give the guy some credit! Nick confirms to Chris Harrison that he is 99% sure that the girl he met was Liz, so Liz’s hypothesis is officially debunked. Kudos to Chris Harrison for playing the shocked host card when this information was presented to him.

During their one-on-one time, Liz really shoots herself in the foot. First, she admits she didn’t think he would remember. Then, she tells him that she’s didn’t want him to think she was there just because he was the Bachelor (so she’s just there to get on TV?).  Nick questions why if she was interested in him, she didn’t just reach out to Jade and ask her for his number.  To top it all off, she says she had a stereotype of him until she watched him on Bachelor in Paradise, which aired AFTER she actually met him in person. Not great Liz, not great.

All that being said, I really like her.

sarah_omg-food
Sarah is my spirit animal.

2. If anyone picked Corrine on their Bachelor Fantasy teams, I think you can rest assured that you’ve got a big point earner. In her intro package we learn that she “runs” a multi-million dollar company (aka she works for a company owned by her dad). She also is a 24 year-old with a nanny, who she describes as someone who does “everything for her”.

Upon her entrance, Corinne earns bonus points with the producers for calling the show a “journey”, and gives Nick a hug token to be redeemed inside. During their one-on-one time she gives him a whole bag of tokens, I guess for a whole lot of hugs?

During the cocktail party we learn, Corinne always goes after what she wants. So, she interrupts Vanessa’s time in order to make out with Nick.  Guess those tokens are for more than hugs.

nick_sharkconcern
I wasn’t going to let the dolphin/shark go unaddressed.

3. There are a lot of great girls vying for Nick’s heart, but my absolute favorite is Rachel.  She is a 31 year-old attorney, and is so intelligent and confident.  Through all of her interactions with Nick, she carries herself with a grace that doesn’t show any of her night one nerves.  I was impressed by their conversation, where they both discover they have ties to Wisconsin (him growing up, her attending law school), and agree to disagree about their favorite sports team (I have to go with Nick on this one, Packers > Cowboys). Nick and Rachel’s interaction seems so natural, like the kind of conversation you would have on a first date and not the gimmicky conversation we’ve come to expect from The Bachelor.

In his opening speech, Nick says that he is looking for a woman with a strong personality who feels empowered. Of the women we met tonight, Rachel seems to me like she fits that description to a tee. Nick must agree with me because he gives Rachel the first impression rose.

danielle-night-one-red-dressDanielle’s dress was sexy and tasteful, balancing the side and back cut outs with a modest silhouette. Her dress can be found at LuLu’s for a very reasonable $74!

sarah-night-one-pink-dressUnfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a good screen shot of the front of Sarah’s dress.  It was fun and flirty in a feminine color, and looked great on her.  Her dress is by a new-to-me brand, Privacy Please, and is no longer available online.  Lucky for you, Revolve carries many of their pieces, and they are all amazing.  Some of my favorites are this, this and this.

josephine-night-one-red-dressJosephine’s dress was simple in the front, but brought the drama in the back.  I’m a sucker for a low back, and this dress stole my heart the minute she walked into the mansion.  Her dress is by Gemeli Power, and can be found at Revolve.

What did you guys think of the premiere? I think my favorites to get Nick’s final rose are Rachel, Sarah, and Vanessa. Let me know yours in the comments, or @third_and_girl.

things I learned – ben & lauren: episode 1

I’m back for the second time this week! Not sure what has gotten into me, but I think I’m just giving myself the freedom to write what I want instead of what I think I should write. As always, what you guys want to read is the most important to me, so please let me know what kinds of posts you like the most!

The long awaited premiere of ‘Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?’ was last night, and it did not disappoint (honestly, this show was never going to disappoint me #Ben+Lauren4Eva). The show follows Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell after their engagement on ‘The Bachelor’ and shows how they are adjusting to life as an engaged couple after only knowing each other for a few months.  I’m not going to get into the nuts and bolts of their relationship, but we did learn some things about both Ben and Lauren over the course of the hour long reality show.

benandlauren_jesusclowns_ep1

1. Ben had dreams about clowns and Jesus as a child
Lauren wants to get to know Ben even better so she asks him if he has any deep, dark secrets. His response: “I am super scared of clowns.” Not only that, but he would have dreams about a tall clown and a small clown chasing his family. Only two topics of dreams in that head of Ben Higgins, Jesus and clowns.

2. Lauren is really interested in the art of street sweeping
While sitting on the porch, Lauren comments that she didn’t know street sweeping was real, she thought it was just an excuse for cops to give tickets to cars on the street.  She says, “I would love to do, like a ride-along, one day with a street sweeper”. Ben laughs her off saying that she’s witnessing the job at that very moment, but as Lauren says, “there’s a lot of buttons in there.”

benandlauren_jalapeno_episode-1

3. Ben doesn’t know how to pronounce jalapeño.
Ben and Lauren are out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and are endulging in some nachos. Both of them comment that they are pretty good but are a bit spicy. Ben says, “There’s a lot of jalape-nos in there”. Luckily, Lauren was there to teach him how to pronounce the tilda that accents the ‘n’.

Did you guys learn anything else about Ben and Lauren? Are you excited to follow their relationship? Let me know in the comments!

small screen standouts: fall tv 2016

Ahh fall – pumpkin spice everything, a chill in the air, and new TV! I’ve taken it upon myself to watch most of the new shows the networks have put on their slate, and save you guys from wasting your time on the ones that are not going to last very long. Let’s get to the good ones!

1. This is Us

this-is-us-gifsource – ‘This is Us gifs’ is a fun google – lots of One Direction

Talking to my friends, it seems like everyone was most excited for ‘This is Us’ to premiere this fall. I’m not sure if it was the 1-2 punch of 90’s nostaliga in Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia or the fact that it gives off serious ‘Parenthood’ vibes that was making everyone so excited, but they were.

I’m happy to say that the hype was well deserved. This show is AMAZING. I’m a big sucker for family shows that leave you with happy tears at some point in every episode, and ‘This is Us’ definitely delivers on that front. The first two episodes had twist endings – I’m not sure if that is going to continue. All I know is my heart can’t take that many  more shocks. Lucky for me (and you!), the show has already been picked up for a full season, so you don’t have to worry about it getting cancelled just as you’re getting sucked in.

2. Speechless

speechlesssource

Based on the previews, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about ‘Speechless’. Its a half hour comedy that follows a family with three children, one who has cerebral palsy. Upon watching the show, it was important to me that J.J., the son with cerebral palsy, be a character vs. a plot device for the show to use.  I can say that I was pleasantly surprised, J.J. is probably the funniest character of them all. The show allows him to be just like any other teenage character on TV, with interests in girls and indepencence, who just happens to be a little different than everyone else. The family is goofy and wacky, very similar to its lead in family, the Goldbergs, but ultimately care about each other and have each others’ backs. Bonus points for featuring the Bachelor at the end of episode 2! ‘Speechless’ has also been picked up for a full season!

3. The Good Place

the-good-placesource

The Good Place is an NBC comedy, featuring mega-watt stars Ted Danson and Kristen Bell. Bell stars as Eleanor, a recently deceased woman who has accidentally found herself in “The Good Place”, where everything is perfect and easy. The Good Place is reserved for only the best of the best, all of the U.S Presidents (except Lincoln) and even Florence Nightingale didn’t make the cut. We find out fairly early that Eleanor has been mistaken for some one else, and her life on Earth didn’t exactly qualify for her afterlife to be spent in the Good Place. Everyone in the Good Place meets their soulmate, and Eleanor’s is Chidi, an ethics professor.  As her soulmate, Eleanor trusts Chidi to keep her secret, and she confides in him that she is not supposed to be there. However, not wanting to leave, she counts on him to help her become a better person in order to earn her stay.

The show gives me Parks & Rec vibes, which is enough of a reason to keep me around. I’m interested to see where the storyline goes – as a sitcom that takes place in a perfect place, conflict has to arise from the characters more than the environment. I’m excited to see what stories they have planned.

I watched a few other shows that I definitely wouldn’t recommend (Son of Zorn – unless you like cartoon violence, Kevin Can Wait) and some I’m giving a couple more chances before I ultimately decide (Pitch). A few more shows are premiering in October, and there are a few others I didn’t get to, so I hope to find some more gems in a couple weeks.

Have you guys been watching any of these shows? Any shows I’m missing or should give another chance? Let me know!

call me irresponsible – dwts: season 23 premiere

I don’t plan on recapping every episode of Dancing with the Stars this season but, it’s one of my favorite shows so I’d like to check in on it every once in awhile. Last night’s premiere was pretty exciting, so I thought I’d share my takes.

ryan-lochte-ohh-face_dwts231

1. That kerfuffle with Ryan Lochte was an unsuspected bit of riveting television at the end of last night’s Dancing with the Stars premiere. For those who may have not seen, during Lochte’s judges’ comments protesters began creating a commotion and found their way to the dance floor. The two men were wearing shirts with Lochte’s name on them with a red X over it. During the broadcast, the cameraman didn’t pan away from judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s face but you could hear the yells of the protesters and anxiety in her voice as she was trying to figure out what was going on. I instantly took to twitter hoping to find out the deal from someone who was in the audience but to no avail. Luckily, the media machine was there to help us this morning with previously unreleased footage finding its way to the inter webs showing the men being taken down by security. Go to this People.com link, to see video of the incident from all angles – and even catch a video of Derek Hough asking the protesters who stayed in the audience to leave!

I was happy, and unsurprised, to see that all of the pros and celebrities are behind Ryan and his redemptive journey on the show.

Ryan’s thoughts on the incident: “I’m a little hurt. I came out here and wanted to do something I am completely not comfortable with. I came out there with a big smile and have the best fan support here.”

I felt bad for Ryan, and thought his dance was fun and full of personality. I hope that this incident isn’t the first of many, and we can all enjoy the show for the fun, sparkly, entertainment that it is.

2. The news may be covering the Ryan Lochte incident ad nauseam, but the real story going further into the season should be the star that is Laurie Hernandez. She was, in my opinion, the best celebrity that hit the dance floor last night. She is paired with the dashingly handsome Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who has a history of taking his partners very far into the competition. Laurie’s background in gymnastics gives her a leg up on some of her competition, like former Texas Governor Rick Perry, but even knowing that I was impressed with her. Her routine seemed more difficult than some of the other celebrities and her execution was great. She is my early favorite for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

3. A few other quick thoughts on this premiere episode:

bullet I’m so happy to see Emma Slater back as a pro but, I think her journey this season may be a relatively short one.
bullet Maureen McCormick is so cute in her excitement to be on the dance floor. And her last minute comment in her package that she just met Babyface was adorable.
bullet Blac Chyna sighting supporting her BFF Amber Rose.
bullet James Hinchcliffe is a dark horse in this competition. I had no preconceived notions about him coming in and was pleasantly surprised.
bullet I can’t believe Jenna Johnson and Jake T.Austin are the same age! She looks so much older!

Did any of you check out the premiere of Dancing with the Stars? Let me know what you thought in the comments!

forever & always – jojo:week 8

Hey everyone! This episode was definitely the best one since we said goodbye to Chad, with multiple surprise eliminations.  JoJo has developed feelings for all of the men, so getting down to her final 2 has been really tough to her.  Tough decisions means tears and drama for JoJo, so let’s get to it.

Chase Monkey Week 8 Bachelorette

1. This episode is super easy to break into three parts as there are three men left, but we do need to address the cliffhanger at the end of last episode. I was certain that there was no way Luke was going home, considering the editing of last week’s episode and JoJo discussing her decision before the rose ceremony in an ITM.  Unfortunately, I was wrong.  JoJo made Jordan, Robby, and Chase her final 3 and sent Luke to the limo and back to Burnet, Texas.

I found it very heartbreaking to see Luke go home.  He really had no idea that he was the one going, and it broke my heart to hear him say, “I thought you knew” when JoJo told him she just didn’t know where he stood.  I think this falls on JoJo because if she needed more from Luke, she should’ve asked.  She has said multiple times to other men that one of her love languages is ‘words of affirmation’ when she wasn’t getting what she needed from them.  Luke was 100% blindsided. As soon as he leaves, JoJo says that she already misses him. I think that Luke was the guy who she would have had the most successful relationship with (although I hope that I’m wrong).  He seems down to earth and truly ready to settle down.  I know that Luke has country music aspirations, but I don’t think he was using this as his platform to get there.  Luke for Bachelor!

The final three are headed to Thailand, and Robby’s date is up first. They walk around the market and eat exotic foods, something that has happened on every Bachelor season since they started going to other countries. After getting caught in a downpour, the two of them get a Thai massage, and discuss the situation surrounding Robby’s past relationship.  They both agree that they are glad the issue was confronted, and that they can move forward together as a couple. Robby confirms his honesty by ONCE AGAIN reminding her that he told her he loved her in Uruguay.

At night, the two go to dinner.  JoJo tells Robby how she told Ben that she loved him on this date last season. Does anyone else think that its weird for her to discuss how she loved another man with these guys? Maybe not since they all already know. Robby says that his parents love to see him so happy but they could tell that he was a little down about the information that had arisen about his past girlfriend.  According to Robby, his dad must have snuck a note in the pocket of his jeans telling him that he was “the man”.  I say ‘according to’ because if you poll any of my friends, they will all tell you that they think Robby wrote the note himself. At the end of dinner, JoJo and Robby decide to spend the night together in the fantasy suite. And Robby lays the cheesy lines on strong:

Robby Dream Week 8

The next morning, JoJo is really excited that her and Robby are having their first breakfast together – even though the food is at the bottom of the bed and looks as if it hasn’t been touched. JoJo says there were a few times when she was with Robby that she wanted to tell him that she loved him, but didn’t because she knows she’s not ready to say without a doubt who will be standing there at the end of the night.

2. Jordan’s date was next, and JoJo has a difficult hike planned for the two of them. I feel like Jordan required some needling from producers when saying, “don’t you look sporty” because my sporty clothes are definitely not a crop top and cut-offs. I’m lucky if my leggings and my shirt match. Since the two of them are SO sporty they make it to the end of their hike, which leads them into a cave  There is a temple somewhere in a cave that they are exploring, and JoJo and Jordan aren’t allowed to kiss there.  This is something that has happened on plenty of seasons as well, perhaps because so many of the beautiful Asian countries that they visit also have strong ties to religion.  Either way, the lead always makes it a point to tell their suitor that they are not allowed to be kissed in this location, which is difficult because these people can’t keep their hands off each other. In their defense, there is something about beauty that brings out the romance (fireworks, sunsets, temples in Thailand).

At the temple, JoJo and Jordan talk about meeting her family and he asks what they’re like.  Since Jordan didn’t watch last season, he doesn’t know that JoJo’s mom likes to take champagne to the face:

JoJo's Mom_Winesource

During dinner, JoJo and Jordan talk about what their future would look like, which is surprisingly not something they’ve discussed before. JoJo asks him what he imagines the next year of his life to look like and Jordan can’t really answer the question. He says he doesn’t have a home base right now, so he can be wherever she is. JoJo is afraid that she will end up with him and not realize how different their lifestyles are. Jordan tries to calm her fears by telling her “I want to spend the rest of my life with you” but JoJo is quick to come back with, “ahh, that’s what Ben said.” I think JoJo has already fallen so hard for Jordan but is putting her walls up and being defensive with him. JoJo doesn’t want to get heartbroken again since Ben also told her he wanted to spend his life with her, so JoJo drills Jordan asking how he knows he’s in love with her. Jordan says he feels like a different person and whenever he imagines his wedding day or getting down on one knee, it’s worth her. JoJo eats it all up and the two of them venture to the fantasy suite.

The next morning, JoJo once again points out that they are eating their first breakfast together – this time, they seem to actually be eating.  In an ITM, Jordan says, “we took a big step last night, in a really exciting direction.” Hmm, wonder what that could mean?

3. Chase’s date is up last and it starts in a fish market, super romantic. Chase surprises me by continuing to open up aka actually talk. The two of them take a boat ride on the waters of Thailand, and have a really deep connection with a monkey. The two of them sit on a beach and talk about how far they’ve come in their “journey”, and then get hot and heavy in the water.

Between the day portion and night portion of Chase’s date, we get an interruption by Robby who just wanted to say hi to JoJo. The previews made it seem like this was a big deal, but really Robby just stopped by to tell her he loved her and then goes on his merry way.

At dinner, Chase mentions that he’s “battled through this” a little more than Robby and Jordan aka they’ve been front runners (and Chase knows it) and he’s had the slow and steady rise to the top. Chase lets Jordan know that he wants a future with her and the two of them go to the fantasy suite.

Chase still hasn’t dropped the L-bomb and he knows that the fantasy suite is the right place to do it. He tells her that he doesn’t want to be scared anymore and wants her to know that he’s 100% in love with her. He’s never told anyone that first and knows what a burden that phrase carries, and he is ready to carry that for her. She kisses him then says, “thank you for telling me that….can you hold on one minute?”

Upon coming back in, JoJo tells him that she didn’t feel what she thought she was going to feel when Chase told her he loved her and that she doesn’t know if she is in the same place. She  doesn’t think spending a night together would change her feelings, and Chase responds accordingly.

Chase Break Up Week 8

Chase doesn’t let JoJo off easy telling her that he just jumped over a hurdle he’s never done before, and she has left him shattered. He tells her that he 100% regrets telling her he loves her. Also, this gem of a line:

Chase Quote Week 8

Chase was terrified to say “I love you” and now he feels like he shouldn’t have done it. He believes that JoJo didn’t give it a chance, which I think further solidifies the notion that Jordan and Robby have been front runners since the beginning.  JoJo wanted to prevent Chase from being blindsided like she was, but Chase feels as if this breakup is exactly that. JoJo, like most people, wants the break up to end on an amicable note but Chase doesn’t really feel the same way, and I think that is a justified feeling. He’s allowed to be angry, and walk away from her. Chase cracks a beer, and hops into a creepy van to be taken away from what he thought would be one of the greatest nights of his life.

At the rose ceremony, JoJo wants Jordan and Robby to also say yes to her. In a SHOCKING twist, Chase shows up and wants to talk to JoJo, leaving Robby and Jordan feeling a little nervous.

Jordan Robby Sweat Week 8

They shouldn’t have been worried though, Chase just wanted to tell JoJo that he didn’t want to let their relationship end the way it did. He says he was shocked and there was a lot he wanted to say but he couldn’t because his shock turned to anger.  Chase wants to tell JoJo that he is proud of her and thinks she’s amazing and that he isn’t angry. He wants wants best for her and thinks she deserves something great.

JoJo gives Jordan a rose first followed by Robby, leaving them as the two men who will meet JoJo’s family next week!

Best Outfits

JoJo Week 8 Crop Top1. JoJo wore a lot of blue on this trip and looked amazing in all of it. I really loved the casual blue and white crop top she wore in a montage of her walking the beach. The top is Show me your Mumu and can be found here.

JoJo Jordan Date Week 8
2. JoJo continued to look great in blue in this ensemble from her dinner date with Jordan.  The white crop is Show me your MuMu and unfortunately I couldn’t find the white option in stock.  Luckily, it comes in a lot of fun prints: paisley, floral,  and even black. The real stand out is that skirt. The skirt is MiJo by Michelle Jonas and can be found here.

JoJo Chase Date Week 8
3. I’ve been into peek-a-boo shoulder tops and dresses, so the dress from her date with Chase was obviously a favorite. This dress is Ramy Brook and can be found here.

Are you guys ready for the finale? Who will JoJo pick, Jordan or Robby? And will the relationship last? Let me know in the comments!

small town USA – jojo:week 7

So I actually had started a draft of a post for last week’s episode with the line “If I thought last week was boring it was nothing compared to this week.” I figured, if an episode was that boring, not that many people wanted to read about it and I didn’t want to attempt to formulate coherent or interesting thoughts about an episode that just was not interesting. So I didn’t.

Hometowns, on the other hand, were pretty interesting. So let’s get to those.

Luke_JoJo_Makeout

1. First up was Chase, someone who I thought was clearly in fourth place going into this week.  He surprised me, by actually speaking, and I have to say I warmed up to him a little bit. It was nice to see him open up to JoJo about his parents’ divorce, and try and explain to her why it is hard for him to share his feelings.

Chase takes JoJo to his house, where she meets his dad (Does anyone else find it funny that if JoJo ended up with Chase and moved to live with him, she would basically live in the same town as Ben and Lauren? Do you think they’d go on double dates?).  His parents aren’t on good terms since their divorce, so any family events are held separately.  I was happy to see that Chase has a close enough relationship with his dad that he wanted him to meet the girl that he loves. At night, Chase and JoJo visit his mom and stepdad’s house, where she meets the rest of the McNary clan. Chase’s mom looks like a real good time, and I think JoJo fit in the best with this family. Chase seemed so emotional during this part of the date, especially while talking to his mom.  To me, it seemed like he wanted to tell JoJo he loved her so badly, but just physically couldn’t.  When it was time for JoJo to leave, Chase awkwardly blurted out that he loved her.  It wasn’t the most eloquent declaration of love but at least he said it (cough, cough Luke).

The next hometown was Jordan, who will get his own section.  I’m fascinated by the Rodgers family dynamic, and I’ve done a good bit of research on it.

Robby’s date was next, and it came with its fair share of drama.  During the day, Robby and JoJo went on a carriage ride around historic Saint Augustine, Florida and then had lunch.  During this portion of the date Robby says more than once “when I told you I loved you in Uruguay,” as if he wants it to be known that he told her before anyone else.  Who am I kidding, of course he wants to remind her of that?

Robby’s family seem like nice, southern people and from certain angles his mom reminds me of a brunette Paula Deen.  JoJo even tells her that she is falling in love with Robby – something she hasn’t told anyone yet! However, all of this love and good feelings aren’t going to last because Robby’s mom has something to tell him.

Apparently, Robby’s ex-girlfriend Hope’s roommate (got all that) has been spreading rumors that Robby broke up with Hope in order to go on the Bachelorette (further fueled by Chad-bear’s now infamous Instagram post). Robby swears up and down that this isn’t true, and I’m inclined to believe him, simply because his mom seems like such a nice lady.  Robby wants to address this with JoJo immediately, as she has had doubts about the time in between the end of his four-year relationship and him coming onto the show.  This development, understandably, freaks her out and you can see JoJo wavering in her trust for Robby.  Eventually, those Ken good looks win out, and she says that she trusts and believes him.

On the last hometown, JoJo visits Luke and his family in an old-timey Western. Seriously, thats exactly what the town of Burnet looks like.  It’s no bother though, Luke drives a truck, and JoJo can rock cut-offs and cowgirl boots like its her job.  He takes her to a cookout at his parents’ house where she meets his family and about 50 of his closest friends.  They eat BBQ and play cornhole and seem to have an all around good time.

Luke has a really sweet heart to heart with his dad about love and when you know you’ve found the one.  His dad tells him how proud he is that Luke has fought for our country and is so grateful that he came home safe. Luke’s dad, a real Texas cowboy, gets teary eyed during this exchange, and I do too.

After dinner, Luke takes JoJo out into the fields to hang out on a really cute hay bale couch.  He shares his feelings, they have a make-out montage (with some suspicious hand placement) to the Dan + Shay song that was played on their first one-on-one date and he never says those three little words.  Get it together Luke.

2. Jordan’s hometown date was the most interesting, mainly because of the giant elephant in the room named Aaron Rodgers. JoJo sneakily tries to get intel about the situation throughout the date, like when she asks whether a picture is of Aaron in the high school and Jordan dismissively says “yeah”, and does not provide any further information. On a semi-related note, what is with these guys taking girls to their high schools when they are in their home towns.  Ben did it last season , with eventual winner Lauren, and now Jordan is doing it with JoJo.  I don’t know about you but a high school doesn’t seem like a really fun activity. I’ll take BBQ and corn hole any day. Also, making out in a high school library is creepy.

At the Rodgers’ house, JoJo meets Jordan’s parents, his brother Luke, and Luke’s girlfriend.  She asks Luke about Aaron again, and he says “its something that we really like talking about a whole lot”. The absence of Aaron Rodgers is the theme of the entire date, as much as Jordan said it didn’t have to be an issue.  I guess ABC had other ideas.

There is a great Ringer article about the disintegration of the Rodgers family relationships, which you can read here. It’s really fascinating stuff. The relationship had to have fallen apart sometime after 2014, when Jordan can be seen in the Green Bay Packer’s scene of Pitch Perfect 2.

Seriously, were they just trying to pass him off as Aaron? He was never a Packer.

The only way Jordan could have gotten this cameo was through older brother Aaron. Another thing about the Pitch Perfect cameo, is it plays into the rumors about Jordan wanting to be on the show to find fame.  Clearly, if he wanted to be featured in an a cappella movie with a team that he wasn’t apart of, the limelight appeals to him at least a little bit.

At one point in the episode, Jordan mentions how much he misses his brother.  I’m just not sure that airing your family’s dirty laundry on a popular, and much gossiped about, TV show is the way to mend those fences.  Maybe its just a public cry for reconciliation? Only time will tell.

JoJo Emotions

3. The rose ceremony is being held in an airplane hangar, with the men who get roses heading directly onto the plane and being swept to the next exotic destination. JoJo says that she knows what she has to do, and that is send home Luke.  HOLD THE PHONE. LUKE?!? I can only assume that this is because he is the only one who hasn’t dropped the L-bomb on her. She’s visibly upset, and unsure if that is because she is just very emotional, or if it is because she is making the wrong decision.

Luckily for Luke, he asks to speak to her before she starts handing out roses.  He wants to make it very clear that when he told her that she had his heart, saying, “and you know how I told you that at the end of the night my heart is yours. Then when you left I felt like not only did I want to tell you that but I needed to tell you that I’m in love with you.  I didn’t get to tell you that that night and its been the only thing that’s been on my mind since then.”  JoJo thanks him for telling her this information and walks off to talk to the producers.  However, all of this is too much for JoJo to handle, as now she doesn’t know what to do. We leave the episode with JoJo SOBBING outside and a somber TO BE CONTINUED… over the image. You have GOT to be kidding me.

JoJo Chase Hometown Outfit1. I loved this oversized sweater JoJo wore on her hometown date with Chase.  JoJo’s exact sweater is Line, and I can’t find it available online.  A sleeveless oversized sweater by the same brand can be found here, and if you’re looking for a full own blanket sweater, some similar options can be found here and here (same brand!).

2. JoJo’s laid-back Texas look is on my radar to be recreated for the Luke Bryan concert next weekend.  Her exact shirt is Bebe and can be found here.

3. Luke was the best dressed man for me this week. By now, everyone knows I’m a sucker for gingham.

Who do you think makes it to the fantasy suites? There is no way she sends Luke, the romance cowboy, home, right? Let me know in the comments!

just a friend-jojo: week 5

Finally! I’m back with a Bachelorette recap for JoJo’s fifth week in her journey to find love.  A thief can steal my computer and prevent me from making gifs, but they can’t stop love.

While I was offline, we sadly saw the end of Chad.  I hate that I didn’t have a computer available to me to comment on Chad’s antics in the house – which culminated in him whistling in the woods after being denied the rose.  God, I’ll miss the Chad-bear, and can’t wait to see him on Paradise.

I was hoping that this season would be the one I would recap in its entirety, but alas, it was not meant to be. Maybe next season (which in my dream world would be led by the token good-guy James Taylor).

My Takeaways

1. We’re in Argentina this week, and Chris Harrison drops the bomb that there will be another 2-on-1 date this season, as well as a group date and a 1-on-1.  Inexplicably, he also tells the guys that he hopes to see them all at the rose ceremony, when that is actually impossible with a 2-on-1 this week.

Wells gets the 1-on-1 date, and for some reason reminds the guys that he is the only one who hasn’t kissed JoJo.  This gives the guys the opportunity to awkwardly bring that fact up when JoJo stops by to pick Wells up for their date, and then continue to talk about it for what seemed like a very long time. I think all of the talk of Wells not kissing JoJo put way too much pressure on the beginning of the date, which I think the editors agreed with. The montage of them walking around the streets of Argentina was accompanied by some seriously awkward music.

Wells_Awkward_Hi5

JoJo takes Wells to a performance art space that actually seems pretty cool.  I don’t consider myself artistically sophisticated enough to understand the running on the treadmill and getting shot piece, but I could get down with that slip-and-slide pool.  Wells decides that sliding around a pool in the dark is the right time to kiss JoJo, and finally lays one on her.  I loved that she called the kiss out, yelling, “That was the moment Wells, that was the moment! We did it!” It was cute and playful – much like their relationship.

At dinner, JoJo asks Wells about his previous relationship, and they get into a discussion about what they are looking for.  JoJo doesn’t want to believe that the passion in a relationship ever subsides, and wants to always look at her husband and think about how hot and attracted to him she is.  Wells is a bit more skeptical of the “unicorn” love that JoJo describes, leading JoJo to the realization that they may not be looking for the same thing.  Sadly, JoJo doesn’t give Wells the rose, sending him packing.

JoJo doesn’t need a man because she goes back to the performance art space, where she was clearly supposed to take Wells, had she given him the rose.  Her black co-ord paired with her leather jacket made her look like such a bad ass.  Just look at girlfriend strutting around:

JoJo_BadAss Strut

2. During the group date, JoJo took Alex, James, Luke, Robby, and Jordan to wander the streets of Argentina, where they danced with street performers, and played soccer with some locals.  Honestly, this date was pretty boring.  I did get a little enthused when they had a soccer shoot-out to win a kiss from JoJo and James was the only one shown making a goal.  I have such a soft spot for that guy.

At the cocktail party, Luke and JoJo make out. And I mean MAKE OUT.

Chemistry is Crazy_JoJo
Their chemistry is cra-zy.

With his time alone with JoJo, James brings up how he thinks Jordan can feel entitled based on his background.  He tells her a story about how they were playing poker and he felt as though his opinions were disregarded by Jordan.  In his ITMs, James says that he wanted JoJo to know what kind of guy Jordan was, but I think that James was just feeling a little insecure from the date.  Although he was the only one to score a kiss from JoJo, he mentioned many times that he felt out of place with the other guys, and that he felt they were much better than him.  I think by telling JoJo this story about Jordan, he was trying to show her what he had over the other guys, and subliminally trying to compensate for his own insecurities.

When JoJo has her personal time with Jordan, she brings up her conversation with James, and Jordan knows exactly what incident she is talking about.  I found Jordan to be very defensive when explaining the situation to JoJo. In the situation he states, “No James, those actually are just the rules, those aren’t my rules”. I don’t know anything about poker, but maybe James plays by different rules when he’s with his buddies than they do at the tables. Or maybe Jordan was actually wrong.  I found it to be a turn-off that Jordan didn’t even try to acknowledge the fact that either of these could be possibilities.

Jordan confronts James about talking about him to JoJo, and James doesn’t try to deny it (in stark contrast to Leah last season). James didn’t feel like he did anything wrong in bringing up the situation with Jordan.  He wasn’t warning JoJo about Jordan or telling her that he wasn’t the right guy for her.  He was just telling her how something made him feel.  If you are supposed to treat the relationship with the Bachelorette as a regular and real relationship, shouldn’t you share your feelings with them? Even if they are negative feelings, or feelings about something other than her?

3. If the group date was boring, the 2-on-1 date was even more boring. Derek and Chase are taught a 3 person tango. Derek goes on about how much passion he feels with JoJo, while Chase seems to be putting a guard up.

At night, Derek tells JoJo he loves her. During her conversation with Chase, she tells him she noticed the wall and Chase attempts to let it down.  With JoJo asking for words of affirmation, he tells her that he came here for her – to be with her and to leave with her.  That’s all she needs to hear, because the declaration of love wasn’t enough to keep poor Derek around. She gives the rose to Chase, and sends Derek to the limo to talk about himself in the third person.

Derek is Imperfect

At the rose ceremony, JoJo can’t make a decision and everyone gets a rose.

JoJo Red Dress_Ep61. JoJo’s scalloped red dress would be the perfect dress to take from the office to after work cocktails or a date. I’m not positive if this is the exact same fabric dress, but its the same designer and pretty darn close.  Plus, SALE!

JoJo Mesh Cutout Dress_Ep6
2. It was only when I started researching this post that I realized the cut out in the front of this dress wasn’t open, but instead was black mesh.  I love the subtle sexiness of the mesh, as well as the contrasting black straps.  I can’t find the Noam Hanoch stunner in stock anywhere, but you can get the contrasting straps and cut out in this NBD dress.

3. Robby can rock a neutral suit like nobody’s business.  I think the blue-grey in his tie and pocket square really gives that “southern gentleman/beach wedding” look I assume he was going for.

What did you think about this week’s episode? Is it starting to feel like a two horse race to anyone else? How are everyone’s fantasy teams looking? Let me know!

burnin’ up-jojo:week 2

Hi there! I hope everyone had a nice Memorial Day Weekend, and pray that you didn’t have as much trouble getting back into the swing of things at work as I did.  I’m back to recap the second week of Jojo’s journey to find love, so let’s get to it.

Guys Singing_Ep2

My Takeaways

1. We start the second week of JoJo’s journey to find love with a group date, which features the men donning firefighting gear and competing for the chance to save JoJo. The only thing I could think for most of this date was how embarrassing it would be for Grant if he didn’t win. Imagine if a legitimate firefighter lost this competition to a radio DJ? Thankfully, that didn’t have to happen because Wells almost died (I’m not thankful for that, I’m really glad Wells made it through, he’s one of my faves), and Grant beat Luke up to the top of the “burning” building to save JoJo.

Grant wins extra time with JoJo at the cocktail party that night, and they have a really nice conversation about Grant’s career choice. JoJo is into it and Grant gets the first kiss of the night. Luke and JoJo also have a nice talk, which ends in a steamy make-out on the balcony.  JoJo is definitely into Luke. My favorite one-on-one chat of the date was between JoJo and Wells. Wells was the perfect amount of self-depricating about his poor physical showing at the firefighting challenge, and he had JoJo cracking up. Wells is really turning into a dark horse in the competition for me, I just hope that he doesn’t end up getting friend zoned. I don’t think we have to worry about that quite yet though, because JoJo loves that Wells never gave up during the competition and gives him the group date rose.

Self Depricating Wells

The second group date of the episode was one that I would love! The guys got to visit ESPN’s Los Angeles studios and run a Bachelorette combine of sorts trying to get on Marcellus Wiley and Max Kellerman’s big board. The guys had to perform a Bachelorette worthy touchdown dance, and give JoJo their best proposal after playing a non-alcoholic form of dizzy bat. Lastly, they had to give a press conference complete with questions about their feelings for the other guys (DRAMA ALERT!).

Chad was a big subject on this date, but enough went on with him this episode to warrant having a whole section devoted to his behavior. So stay tuned for Chad-talk.

The nighttime portion of the date took place at the Houdini mansion, which was a really cool venue. James Taylor steals her away first, and creates one of the sweetest moments in Bachelorette history. He mentions that he knows JoJo isn’t in his league, and that scares him, but he thinks she wants a guy that cares for her and that is him. I loved that James mentioned his faith, and how he really can’t believe how blessed he is to be in the situation that he is currently in.  You can tell that this really touched JoJo, and I think they connected on a deeper level in that moment.  To solidify that connection, James goes in for the kiss, and JoJo goes in for the second one.  To round out James’s awesome qualities, he said yoked, so that’s another one in the plus column.

Nothing too interesting happens on the rest of this group date that doesn’t involve Chad. James got the group date rose (no surprise there), while Chad thinks it should have been him.

2. JoJo’s one-on-one date this week was with Derek, someone who I think could be a quiet contender.  I mean, the guy looks like John Krasinski but with ice blue eyes. However, their date was not super eventful, as it consisted of them making a series of “difficult” choices, which would create components of their date.  It was pretty much a real-life create your own adventure book.  However, I’m not one to lose sleep over a decision about whether to take a private plane north or south.

Their choices ultimately lead them to San Francisco, where they have a picnic overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, and later, dinner. During their dinner, JoJo opens up about getting back on the dating scene after Ben, and encourages Derek to open up about his past relationships. Derek reveals that he had been ready to propose to a previous girlfriend, but then found out that there was another guy in the picture. He was being very vague during all of this, and for awhile I wondered if he was the one doing the cheating.  Alas, we wouldn’t get that drama, and JoJo gives him the date rose.

Chad West Side Story_Ep2

3. Ah Chad, finally we get to the center of the episode. Chad was the narrator of all the dates this week, even the ones he wasn’t on.  The man has a comment about every other man in the house and how he is better than all of them.  Chad is above doing any bonding with the other guys (Although, I don’t think I’d be into singing songs about JoJo with a bunch of dudes either. I guess they get bored without their phones). He would much rather tie a suitcase full of protein to his waist and do some pull-ups.

On the group date, Chad simultaneously was taking the Bachelor “combine” not seriously and WAY too seriously. When asked to propose to JoJo he went with a simple “Will you marry me?”. JoJo asked for him to explain a little why he wanted to marry her, and Chad said that if they were at that point she should already know. He wasn’t above trying to woo her though, going with the always successful “call a woman naggy, and she’ll love you forever”.

Chad’s main gripe with all the men was that they were all lying to JoJo by telling her things that they loved about her, or really by expressing any feelings toward her. It was his idea that they barely know this girl, so all their feelings were based on what they had seen on TV. Unfortunately, he’s kind or right in this situation. There is no way that any of these men love JoJo, but the “proposal” on the group date was meant to be fun.  JoJo certainly wasn’t taking any of those proposals seriously. At the night time portion of the date, Chad actually opened up, and talked to JoJo about losing his mom.  This endeared him to JoJo, and reminded America that there are multiple sides to every person.

At the rose ceremony, Chad was back in Chad form. He greeted JoJo when she arrived to the mansion, stealing her away before she even got to see any of the other guys.  I’m not sure if this was Chad’s idea, or a producer’s, but I actually think it was a good move.  Honestly, if any of the other guys had done this, no one inside would have been mad.  The show is about finding love, and the way to do that is to spend as much time as you can with someone. Once inside, Chad was confronted by the other men, which only made him steal JoJo away more. The main contention seems to be between Chad and Alex, who he had a few confrontations with during the rose ceremony.  One of them almost got physical, with Chad claiming that Alex should be afraid of him.  Maybe he forgot that Alex is a U.S. Marine? Also, Chad did all this while eating copious amounts of meat.

Best Outfits
Unfortunately, there are a lot less outfits of interest to look at during The Bachelorette than there are during The Bachelor.  Fortunately, Jojo has great style, and many of her men have got this style thing down as well.

JoJo Derek Date_Ep21. I loved this sparkly mini JoJo wore on her one-on-one date with Derek.

JoJo Group Date_Ep22. JoJo brings the edge factor with this leather legging and white sweater combo.  I didn’t love the fringe on the sweater, but the make-up and giant ring made up for it.

Luke Rose Ceremony_Ep23. As for the guys, my favorite look was Luke.  I really fell for that gingham pocket square.

What did you guys think of the episode? Who are your favorites? Next week we have two episodes, so look out for double Bachelorette posts next week!

the luckiest-jojo: week 1

AAAAAND we’re back rose lovers!  I really feel like I finally have something to live for again, now that Chris (B.) Harrison is back on our TVs. This time around he brings us JoJo Fletcher, she of Ben Higgins blindside fame, and the 26 men vying for her heart.

WhatJustHappened_JoJoEp1
My Takeaways

1. After the intro packages for JoJo (did you know Ben told her he loved her and then blindsided her?), and a few of the men, we get to the limo entrances. It’s pretty well known that the men who make the first and last entrance are normally ones to watch, and this season was no exception. Jordan Rodgers, brother of MVP and Superbowl winning quarterback Aaron Rodgers, was the first one to exit the limo, and all 6 foot 3 (with an extra couple inches for that coiffed mane of his) of him was looking great. He didn’t need a fancy entrance and JoJo was into him.

RobbyWine_JoJoEp1

Robby had a great entrance, presenting JoJo with a bottle of wine and taking it to the face similar to Mrs. Fletcher in Ben’s hometown visit last season. JoJo is in on the joke and says “My mom would like him”. Chase exited the limo with every mustache pun in the book ready to go, but if I’m being honest they would have made me giggle. Wells exited the limo with Grammy Award winning pop group All-4-One singing their hit “I Swear”. Although most of the men couldn’t appreciate a good entrance (more on that later), they all seemed to think Wells’s move was pretty smooth.

The last entrance was Luke, who didn’t come out of the limo but rather riding a unicorn, or a white horse with a horn strapped to its head. Luke is from Texas, like JoJo, believes in unicorns, like JoJo, and is ruggedly handsome, which I don’t think is like JoJo but I’d guess she definitely likes it.

2. Once all the men were inside, we really got to see their personalities come out. And by personalities I mean drunkenness because most of these guys were hammered! Between taking off all their clothes and jumping in the pool (Daniel), to interrupting JoJo filming her ITM’s with producers (Nick S. and Vinny), these guys were not holding their alcohol very well. Daniel continued his drunken escapades by poking Evan in the belly button, something that many of the guys told us was something you just do not do.

Chad_DressBright_JoJoEp1

Another person we saw a lot of inside was Chad, and that is because he thinks he’s the greatest person alive. Chad took it upon himself to pretty much bash every man that came out of the limo. When doing my fantasy draft for this season (I have Jordan, Chase, Nick B, Derek and Alex by the way), I was trying to figure out who the man was that all the other men would hate but JoJo would love. I was between Chad and Daniel, and if the “this season on…” is any indication, it is definitely Chad.

3. At the rose ceremony, we get a “shocking” entrance by a former Bachelor aka Jake Pavelka who just happens to be a Fletcher/Patton family friend. ABC teased this up like he was going to join the cast, and it was funny to see JoJo’s momentary look of panic when she thought this too.

VinnyConfused_JoJoEp1

Luke gets the first rose (Jordan had been given the first impression rose), and the eliminations were not too surprising. Honestly, I think there are only about 5 guys that JoJo may be into, probably another 7 that she thinks are nice guys, and the rest are just producer planted nut jobs. I can’t think of another reason that Daniel and Vinny would be given roses, after their drunken escapades.

My favorite part of the episode may have just been the scene that rolled over the credits. I couldn’t find a youtube video of it, but I really suggest taking it upon yourself to get on over to Hulu and watch.

Not really a tweet…but so funny.

Top 3 Guys
Tonight wasn’t a big night for fashion, so I’m going to kick off the season with my front runners for JoJo.

Jordan

1. No surprise here, but I think Jordan Rodgers is the top contender for JoJo’s heart. Who wouldn’t want to join the Rodgers family and get to strike up an insta-friendship with Aaron’s girlfriend Olivia Munn. The previews for the season show a little drama with Jordan, and whether he is there for the right reasons (shocker) but I don’t think that will phase JoJo that much. They really did have a lot of chemistry, and he was one of the only guys that she was comfortable with on Night 1.

Luke

2. I give Luke a pretty good shot at the final rose as well. Besides the first one/last one limo theory, I think that he and JoJo have a lot in common and were raised in similar ways. Luke is definitely cuter on the show than he is in his ABC bio photo, and I wish I would have known that when drafting my fantasy team.

Wells

3. My dark horse of the season is Wells. His entrance was memorable, him and JoJo had a good conversation and he just seems like an all around cool guy. He didn’t give me the overly “done up” vibe that someone like Jordan or Robby did. He is the kind of guy that you would want to go catch a show and a beer with, and I think that’s the guy that you want to spend your life with.

That’s all I’ve got for you guys after night 1.  What did you think of the premiere?  Does anyone not think Jordan is a front runner? Let me know!
